We’re Bringing Back the Love Letter

Though deeply rooted in Christian tradition, Valentine’s Day has morphed into a true Hallmark Holiday. What’s left of this universal celebration is something that people of all faiths may in good conscience observe: A day to acknowledge the power of love and human connection.

When your camper begins their journey at JCC Maccabi Sports Camp, you embark upon one of the greatest adventures of being a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, cousin, or friend.  The adventure?  Writing letters to camp, of course!

In an age of 140-character micro-thoughts on Twitter and an era of shrt txt msgs to ur kids, it’s so easy to forget the nostalgia of a handwritten letter. When our campers receive packages and e-mails during rest hour, it gives them that warm, fuzzy feeling of comfort. The letters they receive provide the latest news, encouragement, humor and so much more. But most importantly, the letters you send to camp remind them you care. And while you may not always get a response, we promise your letters make them feel great!

So today, we encourage you to bring back the love letter. Breakout your ballpoint pen and print out our Valentines Day Camp Postcard below to tell your kid just how much you love them!
